The tapered tree bit was developed by nurserymen who understand that labor saving equipment means extra profits. Great for making holes for burlap rootballs.
Features
The tapered tree auger is designed to dig the perfect 25º hole every time. The patented, new revolutionary design utilizes hard faced gauge teeth at each half revolution throughout the flighting; easily cutting the perfect coned shape hole.
Until now most nurserymen relied upon a traditional step down tree auger. This bit will leave a slight taper on the bottom of the hole, however, the majority of the flighting is vertical. The result is that the hole will have a vertical wall with a lot of loose dirt. Because of this, the hole will have to be reshaped manually and cleaned out.
