Tree Spade Made to withstand the abuse of high production digging ... Dutchman Tree Spades are straight welded - eliminating moving parts like nuts, bolts, bushings, and pins. Unfortunately, all of these can wear or break after a short period of time. This can lead to distorted blade configuration, or even worse - bent blades. The blades are designed to follow a straight line travel path every time they are pulled into the ground.
Features
- Best gate hinge in the industry - Dutchman Tree Spades uses a strong finger lock design instead of the old plate-over-plate design. The hinge carries a 2-1/4" pin, hardened steel spacers, and aluminum bronze bushings. It has over double the surface area of the competitors hinges and virtually eliminates soil getting into the gate housing.
- "User Friendly" electronic control system utilizes half the amount of wires with better flexibility and durability. Troubleshooting lights let the operator isolate problems within minutes, allowing repairs to be made in the field. The universal control utilizes a simple nine-wire cable and plug to connect to the spade.
- Dutchman Tree Spades blades are supported and guided using a "Tube within a Tube" design. The blades will always want to follow a straight-line travel path. The tree spades blades are pulled into the ground; the torque is compensated on the tower. Most other brands of tree spades push the blades into the ground which causes them to spread outwards. This is why most tree spades will spread at the bottom. The "Tube within the Tube" design prevents the blades from spreading and keeps the blades from overlapping. As long as the blades always meet together, the compression at the bottom of the blades will hold the soil - thereby creating a superior rootball.
- All Dutchman Tree Spades come with a 5 or 7 pendant control box which is connected to the skid steer loader with a single plug. A user friendly optional pistol grip joystick is also available.
- The optional stabilizers will help to increase production by increasing the penetration force of the blades. They are available for skid steer wheel loaders and skid steer track loaders. The stabilizers are designed not to extend beyond the wheel-base of your skid steer and come complete with hoses and fittings.
